‘For a long time now, I have thought of Italy as a country made up of different ingredients rather than towns and villages! And so the idea for this book evolved.’
As part of my latest literary project, In 2011 I travelled 7500 kilometres in just 30 days through Italy, tasting the finest foods the country has to offer, and meeting the traditional artisans behind it. Love Italy presents this touching journey into my Italian heritage: a window into an ancient and beautiful landscape, the warm hearted people that have passed their traditional methods down through generations, and above all, the truly mouth-watering food.
Love Italy is a delectable celebration of Italian food. From Piedmont to Sicily, all the quintessential ingredients are here from parmesan to prosciutto, balsamic vinegar to buffalo mozzarella. This is real Italian food by real Italian people.
I would now like to bring this celebration back to Grossi Florentino Grill where monthly we focus on a different region as part of our daily set menu option which is available for lunch.
